Specialty Programs

- Military: UHS' Patriot Support Programs offers behavioral health services particularly created for military, veterans and households in 34 facilities.

  • First Responders: Includes behavioral health care support, services and programs for first responders (cops, firemens, dispatchers, corrections officers, crime scene specialists), EMS and other healthcare workers, in addition to active-duty military.
  • Substance Use Disorder (SUD): A Lot Of UHS' Behavioral Health facilities provide a broad range of treatment services, such as alcohol and drug detox, step-down programs, sober living and aftercare. Services are offered at numerous levels of care (e.g., domestic, inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization). Among them are those in our Foundations Recovery Network which concentrates on the integrated treatment of addiction and underlying psychological health disorders. In 2024, we opened our first Foundations Health area, using outpatient services for those battling with SUD, psychological health problems and/or opioid reliance, including medication-assisted treatment.

    - Eating Disorders: Skilled clinicians are geared up and trained to attend to a vast array of eating disorders from anorexia and bulimia to binge eating along with eating conditions co-occurring with other conditions.
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder: Dedicated programs available at select facilities tailor a client's treatment and interventions to specifically determine and track development. Plans integrate behavioral performance, social development, communication capabilities, academic/vocational accomplishment, household education and assistance.

    National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention

    UHS has actually shown its commitment to suicide prevention through its longstanding partnership with the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention. As a proud supporter of the Action Alliance, UHS provides education and resources to the communities we serve.

    Joint Ventures/Provider Partnerships/Alliances

    UHS is constantly looking to engage in strategic partnerships that will help patients gain access to the best level of care at the right area. This includes a concentrated effort on partnering with non-UHS Acute Care hospitals to assist them run their behavioral health services.
