MP backs biodiesel tax break campaign

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a project to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel presently benefit from a 20p differential however that is because of end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been meeting the biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a variety of little companies in Cornwall presently generate income from utilized cooking oil".
He included: "In order to have the ability to get this type of market going it does require simply a bit of lift which can be found in the type of tax inevitable."
Biodiesel is a mix of traditional diesel, rapeseed and vegetable oils.
