The Maine State Park lifeguard group is looking for certified individuals with aquatic experience (swimming, browsing) and a strong public safety ability (management, coaching, mentoring) who have their lifesaving, CPR and Emergency treatment accreditations ** to join us this summer season. Our lifeguards take fantastic pride in protecting beach-goers and themselves. Find out more about becoming a Maine State Park lifeguard below.

Course Fee Reimbursement - If you pass a certified lifeguard course and the Maine State Park Lifeguard Academy and work a complete season as a lifeguard with Maine State Parks, your lifeguard course charge will be compensated. Training Resources include the Red Cross, YMCA, UMaine, and regional colleges and schools.

Maine's Public Lands consist of a few of the most outstanding natural functions and remote places in Maine. The over half million acres are handled for a variety of resource worths including recreation, wildlife, and timber. We employ foresters, forest specialists, and seasonal recreation rangers.

Park and historical site staff offer exemplary visitor services while carrying out a vast array of outdoor tasks. They offer information to visitors, make sure visitor security, perform park repair and maintenance, and update welcome and info kiosks.
